The Sandtrap Grill is Pretty Much On Par

Cincinnati Magazine Showcases the Cooper Creek Events Center
It can be difficult finding a basic snack bar like those walk up ones at a beach.  There are some downtown lunch places with similar attributes, but it's especially hard to uncover one of these gems in the suburbs.  While attending a Cincinnati Magazine event at the new Cooper Creek Events Center at the Blue Ash Golf Course, that's exactly what Paul and I
discovered.  The Sandtrap Grill is on the lower level adjacent to the Pro Shop and sports a reasonably-priced menu of all-American favorites.

Silverglades Chicken Salad on Croissant

We got five of us together for lunch one day sampling some of what they had to offer.  They rely on Silverglades Deli (of Findlay Market) for their Chicken and Tuna Salads, and that's a wise choice.  Voted "Best of the City", they're both fine interpretations of the classics served on a croissant with lettuce and tomato.
Reuben on Marble Rye
Next up was the Grilled Reuben—nice lean corned beef with all the traditional trimmings served on marble rye.  Paul enjoyed it immensely.

Larry's Fried Bologna on Marble Rye
I found Larry's Fried Bologna sandwich (I have no idea who Larry is) to be very good. It was touted as being a thick cut, but it was actually two thinner slices with the Swiss cheese and onion melted in between.  There are plenty of other choices from Filet Mignon to Filet of Fish Sandwiches to Nathan's Hot Dogs to Salads.  Everything is priced separately—just like at the beach.  Sides are a Silverglades Pasta Salad, 3 versions of French Fries, and bagged Potato Chips.  Check their hours as they change seasonally.
